Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Free Tier
PromptGnome's free tier is completely free to use and requires no payment information. There is nothing to cancel or refund. You may uninstall the Extension at any time.
2. Pro Subscription Plans
PromptGnome Pro is available as:
- Monthly plan: $2.99 USD per month
- Annual plan: $29 USD per year
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
3. Free Trial
New users may be eligible for a 14-day free trial of Pro features. During the trial period:
- You will not be charged.
- You may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the applicable rate.
4. How to Cancel
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time using any of the following methods:
- From the Extension: Open the PromptGnome side panel, go to Settings, and click "Manage Subscription" to access your billing portal.
- Via Email: Send a cancellation request to support@promptgnome.com with your registered email address.
What happens when you cancel:
- Your Pro features will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
- After the billing period ends, your account will revert to the free tier.
- No further charges will be made.
- Your settings, statistics, and audit log data will be preserved.
5. Refund Policy
5.1 Full refund within 7 days
If you are not satisfied with PromptGnome Pro for any reason, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase or renewal date. No questions asked.
5.2 How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact us at support@promptgnome.com with:
- Your registered email address
- The word "Refund" in the subject line
5.3 Refund processing
- Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days of the request.
- The refund will be credited back to the original payment method used for the purchase.
- Upon refund, your Pro subscription will be cancelled and your account will revert to the free tier.
5.4 Refunds after 7 days
After the 7-day refund window, refunds are generally not available. However, we may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis for:
- Technical issues that prevented you from using Pro features
- Duplicate or accidental charges
- Service outages that materially affected your experience
6. Promotional Offers
From time to time, we may offer promotional pricing or free access to Pro features. Promotional offers:
- Are subject to their own terms as communicated at the time of the offer.
- May not be combined with other offers or discounts.
- Do not entitle users to refunds for the difference if pricing changes after purchase.
7. Changes to Pricing
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. If we change the price of your plan:
- We will notify you at least 30 days in advance via email.
- The new price will take effect at your next renewal date.
- You may cancel before the new price takes effect if you do not wish to continue.
8. Governing Law
This Cancellation & Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
